PRESIDENT

Majid Pourshadi, Ph.D. is a graduate of Northeastern University with Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in Biomedical Sciences specializing in Medical Laboratory Science. He started Medical Professional Institute after realizing there was a need for highly trained and educated allied health and nursing professionals. As MPI became more well-known and class sizes grew, MPI was relocated to its current location. Since 1999, we have graduated hundreds of students and their success can be seen in numerous labs and doctors offices across the state. “I am proud to have you as our students and know that you will be just as successful as those who have graduated before you.”

DIRECTORS

Diana Johnson has been an instructor for Medical Professional Institute for several years. She has worked the past 6 years as a Certified Medical Assistant for Physicians Associates at Mount Auburn Hospital. She is a CMA through the AAMA and is also an RMA and RPT. She has an Associate’s Degree from Fisher College in Computer Science. She brings passion to the students; she works in a field she loves and it shows through her education style. Diana is also a former graduate of Medical Professional Institute and has been proud to represent the school these past several years. “I am very passionate working in a field I love and love the ability to pass my knowledge and experience on to my classes.”

Director of Financial Aid

Melissa Valley graduated in 2000 from Saint Joseph College in Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She has been working for MPI for 14 years. She can answer all your questions about financial aid and more than likely various other aspects of the school. She has been with the company since close to its inception. “I welcome you as a part of our school and wish you luck in your path to becoming a medical professional.”

Externship Coordinator

Leany Colindres is the Externship Coordinator for Medical Professional Institute. She is a former student of Medical Professional Institute and has been working as a Medical Assistant for several years.

Career Services Coordinator

John Pourshadi is the Career Services Coordinator for Medical Professional Institute.

Admissions Representative

Kelly Crawford has been with Medical Professional Institute for four years. Kelly began as a Student Services Coordinator for Medical Professional Institute, but as of November 2016 she moved into the role of Admissions Representative. Kelly is an alumnus of Regis College where she double majored in psychology and graphic design.

Faculty

Brisson Dauphin has been with Medical Professional Institute for several years. He is an instructor for our phlebotomy program. He comes to Medical Professional Institute with a Certificate in Phlebotomy from Bunker Hill Community College. He is the instructor of Phlebotomy and Specimen Collection.

Hector Guillen teaches the computer course Introduction to Information Systems. Hector has been with Medical Professional Institute for several years. He comes to MPI with a Bachelors in Community Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston as well as an Associate’s Degree in Information Systems and Arts from Bunker Hill Community College.

Mehri Pourshadi has been with Medical Professional Institute as an instructor for several years. She teaches Pharmacology. Her credentials include a BS in Pharmacy from Northeastern University and an MBA from Anna Maria College.

Evangeline Santos works for MPI as faculty of the Physician Office Laboratory as well as the Phlebotomy Theory and Laboratory. She brings with her to MPI a vast education in the field including her M.Ed. and Ed.D. in Educational Management from the University of Baguio in the Philippines as well as a BS in Medical Technology from Saint Louis University in the Philippines.

Dr. Afsaneh Moradi has been working with Medical Professional Institute for two years and currently teaches several courses within the Allied Health discipline.
